FFF- A day

in the life......
Goodmorning baby girlEvery day we spend at least a little time as a puppy.
Puppies scratch behind their ears.
We wrap up snug as a bug after our bath.

We go outside to play at the park.

Making sure those hooves are nice and clean.

I told her that the deer weren't for riding on, but if this boys mommy thought it was okay it must be, right.

When mommies on vacation I get gellato for lunch.

Then a little time is spent as a dinosaur.
Before a nap we must change our clothes again.
Then Lily reads me chewy Louie before driffting off for a few hours rest.
Night night baby girl I had a fun date with you today.
(Just a side note this is a vacation day in the life. An actual day in the life includes dressing a near sleeping girl throwing cut up strawberries and cereal bar in a bag getting in the car with varying degrees of whining and hauling off to school.
It is not quite as glamorous as gellato for lunch.)

Thank you

Can you tell I'm on vacation. I always have insane spurts of posting when I'm on vacation. Amazing how much time I have when 8-10 hours of it isn't spent at work. Anyways I need to take a moment to thank my wonderful amazing mom. Awhile ago I found this video and felt in my bones that Lily belonged at this school but thought there was no way she could go. It is only about 15 minutes from my house but it's 15 minutes in the wrong direction. There was no way I could get her there and then hurdle myself to work in time. that darn work really does get in the way :) So recently I have made the decision that Lily will not start kindergarten next year. That was a really hard decision. Her current preschool is for children up to 3. She was allowed to stay this year because of when her birthday falls. So Ive been on the hunt, as this inspirational school always stayed on my mind I didn't even consider it because it just wasn't possible, but none of my other options gave me the feeling my daughter belonged there. So the other day my mom said what about that school in Loomis. To which I explained all the reasons it just wasn't possible. My mom said not if I drove her and well that was that I made a phone call just in the knick of time as the class was just about full. Today we went to visit and it is just perfect for my animal loving, tree hugging, garden grubbing, train loving slice of heaven. I am just so over the top excited for her. Thank you, thank you, thank you, mom!

Wonderful Week

I have the week off in honor of our past presidents. I don't know why suddenly it is presidents week, but I'm not one to question a gift. I am aware that as a working parent this holiday is extremely inconvenient, but this working mom took it as an opportunity to keep Lily home from school and enjoy. Lily hasn't seen her horses since October. A bit due to the weather and some due to the fact that I just can't take her while I'm working. She has been asking for Carrie and the horses for months. The other day she even got the laptop out opened it up and started punching at the keyboard. In a frantic panic, as this laptop is my addiction, I said Lily what are you doing? She said I'm sending my friend Carrie a message. Very funny. So thank goodness the weather is wonderful and Carrie was available. You would have thought I took Lily to Disneyland! Her grin did not leave her face the entire time we were there. Her legs have lengthened a bit so they don't stick straight out on the horse. Carrie says she is a natural. I have no idea if that is true or not as my knowledge about horses does not extend beyond they are large animals.
What I do know is that she is in love!

Unseasonable

This weekend the weather was just gorgeous. The sun shone and it hovered around 67 or so. I was so in need of some sun so we took the trek to the zoo for a family outing. Peter was the camera man and he took lots of pictures.
Lily on the concrete slide? It really doesn't make much of a slide.

Waiting for the main attraction the train.

There it is the only real reason for a visit to the zoo :)

This beauty was staring intently at me as if I might be her next snack.

They made a new area of the zoo special for me!

Oh well maybe I wasn't the tall wonder they were speaking of. This is Valentine and it's her birthday. She came over for a visit.

FFF- Love is....

This is one of my favorite songs. I knew that I couldn't write exactly what love is or how I feel for my little one, but the Dixie Chicks already did so here it is

Love is......

Lullabye

They didn't have you where I come from

Never knew the best was yet to come

Life began when I saw your face

And I hear your laugh like a serenade

How long do you want to be loved

Is forever enough, is forever enough

How long do you want to be loved

Is forever enough

Cause I'm never, never giving you up

I slip in bed when you're asleep

To hold you close and feel your breath on me

Tomorrow there'll be so much to do

So tonight I'll drift in a dream with you

How long do you want to be loved

Is forever enough, is forever enough

How long do you want to be loved

Is forever enough

Cause I'm never, never giving you up

As you wander through this troubled world

In search of all things beautiful

You can close your eyes when you're miles away

And hear my voice like a serenade

How long do you want to be loved

Is forever enough, is forever enough.....

We had a great time creating our Valentines this week. Lily was very into the glitter and lace. I know sooner or later she will want me to get her the box of valentines from Target but until then this is fun!

FFF- Kiss, kiss

What an appropriate theme for the beginning of our month of love.

One big

SMOOCH

from Miss Lily

And a little bit of Daddy love.

And some past kisses I just couldn't resist putting in.

Happy friday!
