Welcome to our local vets office.

The vet is hard at work taking our information in the computer.

Washes her hands before she works.

Dogs each needed 5 shots. Wow!

Giving me advice on how to care for my pets.

Then a phone call on the run.

Gonna have to get this girl a hands free device!!

And yes we are still wearing the tutu non stop!

And we ride tricycles in the house cause we are cool like that.

Restless

Definition

Not sattisfied to be at rest or in peace. Eager for change.

This is how I am feeling at the moment.

At first I thought perhaps this feeling is depression.

But, restless is the perfect way to describe it.

I think that it is brought on by the winter.

The lack of vitamin D.

It just feels like the mundane is happening.

Get ready.

Get Lily ready.

(which may or may not be a struggle)

Drop Lily off for school.

Work.

Come home.

Eat.

Watch TV.

(where nothing is on)

Read.

Bed.

Wake up do it once again.

Weekends.

Errands.

Eat out.

(spend way too much money on mediocre food)

So you get the idea.

I understand that life is filled with the mundane.

It's the little things that happen between the mundane that make up a life.

So what is it that I need.

A hobbie.

I know what I want my hobbie to be.

I like to take pictures.

I like to scrap.

Maybe it's a home improvement activity.

I know what I'd like to do.

Sometimes I think it's to add to my family.

I flirt with the idea.

But....

Truthfully

I can't imagine.

We have almost reached the point where we will have no more childcare.

I really can't imagine starting all over again.

My restlessness is up to me to cure.

So, today I vow to fix it.

I'm gonna get my errands done.

Then I'm gonna break up the mundane.

One little moment at a time.

Funny

This evening I was putting Lily down and we were talking about her Foster mom Evelyn. I was having one of those pat yourself on the back moments. We were talking about how when Lily was teeny tiny a lady named Evelyn took care of her. Lily was telling me she missed Evelyn and that Evelyn lived really far away and that we will always love her. Just as my eyes misted over at my all too wise wee one she says Mommy I really love you, but I have to tell you something. I was teetering on the edge what new revelation has my child reached in her development. To which she says Maddox blew a really big snot bubble in class and it ran down her face. Pat on the back turned into fits of laughter in seconds. I just love that girl always keeping me on my toes.

Speaking of toes.......
only moments later. I lean down to kiss Miss Lily goodnight. As I kiss her she's squirming a little. She gives me a huge smile and says did you know I'm picking between my toes. ewwww.

Snow Day

We took a little road trip with some of our friends.

We bundled up and took along some sleds.

We just had to see if we could catch a snowflake.
Lily hasnt been to the snow, that she remembers, when it was actually snowing.

I must add here that people keep telling me that Lily and I look alike.

I usually roll my eyes and say something like hmmm,

cause I am quite certain I dont resemble a mayan princess,

Someone clarified and said it was our mannerisms

we have the same shy smile.

When I look at the above picture with our heads thrown back and our tongues sticking out I can see it we do resemble eachother.

We had to eat the snow.

Took a little hot chocolate break.

Ummm, I'm not sure why we would make a humongous snow ball and then roll it down the hill.

My only explanation is cause they are boys.

A little rest with Daddy.

Cause I rock these sweet bibs.

These were given to me in the late 90's

They were out of style even then.

And just quite simply cause she is the cutest snow bunny around.

This was a great way to end my vacation!
