Mothers Day

This was my mothers day present.

It was a brilliant gift

made by my husband

at my request.
He brought my vision to perfection.

Have I ever mentioned how very timid my girl is

getting her to try new things sometimes is like moving a mountain

Look at that face......

Previous to this face there was a lot of tears

lots of talk about not wanting that swing in her tree
then more crying and ranting

it'd be very humorous if you weren't her mother I'm sure

as her mother I've learned through trial and error

when to push and when to hold back

so here is the little push

(literally)

Hmmm

a small smile...

another little nudge in the right direction

And there we go

she likes it !

She now offically has conquered the big girl swing!

She can get on it on her own

and better yet she's learned to pump her legs.

And was excited to go to school and show her friends her

new talent!!

Thank you daddy for the perfect mother's day gift!

Happy Mothers Day!

Okay, so there is nothing like a little perspective.
Turns out being sick was the perfect break.
I WAS really sick!!
How did that help you ask......
There is nothing like feeling like absolute s*** to make you appreciate
FEELING WELL!!!
(Oh it also makes for a great dieting regimen)
So today Peter, Lily and I celebrated mother's day.
He has to go to stinky work tomorrow.
We went to the river
threw in some rocks and
enjoyed the sun.
This mom thought it was a perfect mothers day.
Oh yeah and I worked on reversing my strict dieting regimen at lunch.
Got lots of great pictures.
Really how could you not with this as your backdrop.

And look its a family shot. Don't get enough of those.

Goodness Gracious I love this little girl!

And this guy to they have both stolen all of my heart!

Beautiful!

but it really pales in comparison to this beautiful smile.

Throwing rocks is pure joy!

Goodbye to my beautiful river thanks for sharing my mothers day joy!

Mothers Day photo shoot

This year I decided that my mom Lily and I simply had to go get our pictures taken. It ended up being a lot of fun and the pictures turned out wonderful. We had to purchase this out take. This is Lily's monster face it truly captures her personality.

This one is my favorite.
