Easter Day picture overload

We had a wonderful Easter day.

We woke up to an Easter scavenger hunt.

Lily's request.

When she was 4 the Easter bunny did a hunt for the basket.

At 5 he didn't have time because he had to find us out of town.

She wanted to make sure he didn't forget this year.

There are no pictures of said event because I had my camera on the wrong setting.

It was however thoroughly enjoyed!

After a lazy morning getting ready we went to the zoo.

Its an Easter tradition.

The below picture is of Lily posing like a flamingo.

Not a bad flamingo imitation.

The Slamingos have always been her favorite.

I miss when they were called Slamingos. Oh, you said pose with them not as them.

The big cats were out and enjoying the sun.

Lily has become a little model.

I used to have to take millions and millions of pictures of her in action.

Now she finds the place and poses herself.

She is quite the guatemodel!

I was not sure if this guy in the front was going to enjoy a back rub

or a push down the hill.

The guy in the front wasn't sure either he headed out.

I'm gonna say he wanted the spot all to himself.

I think she has an eye for these things.

This poor guy finished all his Easter treats.

I know the feeling.

The Easter bunny had a surprise for us.

He packed Lily's lunch inside of some eggs and hid them.

He even set the mood.

Lily approved of the bunnies new idea.

And were all ready to eat.

And it was approved of.

After lunch it was time for some bubbles.

I know I take after my daddy.

I got my eyesight from my mom but everything else came from him.

I never thought however that I looked much like either of my parents.

I guess I was wrong.

We look very much alike.

On the way to the car Lily treated us to some more modeling.

In the late afternoon we had a hunt with cousin Ava

and a very Easterly dinner of lasagna.

Then we tried a family shot.

Guess Lily was all done posing for the day.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had the absolutely perfect Easter Egg Hunt

this year

It was full of magic

There is a field near Peter's brothers home

It is the perfect field

Hours could be spent at this field

It is a child's paradise

complete with a fallen tree

that is a perfect place for imagination and play

The Easter Bunny chose just this spot to hide the eggs

It rained quite a bit that day so the field was very wet

An Easter Frock would have been cold and uncomfortable

none of that mattered

After the Easter Egg hunt my very tired very emotional princess cried the whole way home she said over and over I am all done having fun in Oregon take me home my feet are wet my legs hurt this hill is too high......we then took a three hour nap and awoke and bonded for the very first time with her 15 year old male cousin Kai. Kai is 6 feet tall. He plays football and baseball and works out everyday. He is all boy. Lily said the first 7 days that we were there that she getted to know Sophia (her cousin pictured earlier) but she just doesn't know Kai. She eyed him sheepishly our entire stay until the last day. Where she got him to build her a car out of a box, play with her toys and hide in his parents closet with her for a few hours. It made my Easter that they both got to enjoy eachother before our stay was over. I am quite positive he left that out of his description of Easter today at school but I know he enjoyed it just as much as she did.

Annual Easter Trip

Every Easter there are some bubbles.

And the zoo. A little cloud cover and some wind didn't get us down.

We just bundled up and went anyways.

We had a great time.

When one of the pack feels like roaring so must the rest.

By the time we got home the wind and rain were in full swing

so our egg hunt was indoors.

Another wonderful Easter Holiday weekend.

Easter Morning

Lily awoke to a scavenger hunt.

The easter bunny left her four clues to her basket.

She thought that it was super fun.The loot.
The fine art of eating a cadbury egg.



Then we got dressed to go to meet up with Nonnie and Papa.

We wore this outfit all of 30 minutes or so due to the weather so I tried to get some pictures.

As you can see we were not amused.

I was able to get some smiles in there.

Our cousin Ava and Nonnie and Papa came over to help us dye easter eggs and make a little easter treat.There couldn't be anything quite as heavenly as rice krispy treats shaped in the form of an egg and dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. Yummy!
