Kites in Berkeley

Lily and I joined Nonnie and Papa on a day trip to kite fly in Berkeley. The weather was on the chilly side, but it was fun to bundle up for the day when summer sizzle is on, here where we are.Papa and Lily getting the elephant up in the air.

Lily got to see her cousins from Oregon on Wednesday. You can not tell from these pictures but she was very happy to see them. Getting two preteens and 1 three year old to smile all at once is nearly impossible :)

If you missed her happy face on a train there is no difficulty in making her smile!

Aunt Sandy

Peter's Aunt Sandy is visiting us. she lives on a small island off of the coast of Spain called Menorca. Why we are not visiting her is still unclear. Her neck of the woods seems a little more enjoyable to me. She came to help celebrate Peters Mom's birthday. We have enjoyed the last few days together.

Really what is more American than fire people (I saw mostly women racers) racing with their ancient firetrucks. That is the entertainment in our little town that I am growing to love.

Hello Mr. Sunshine

Peter and I have a weekend day off together for the first time in our 6 years together! We spent our first of hopefully many saturdays together as a family. We went for a walk in Folsom and then enjoyed a cup of coffee together and then had some lunch and came home for naptime. I am super excited to get to spend one day a week as a family. I am so happy the weather is changing and the dull winter days will soon turn into fun in the sun.
Lily and I found a park in Roseville to spend our lazy sunday afternoon. Lily went down the slide like a big girl. She insisted that she must hold my hand on the way down but she is getting more brave. I was also a timid child we must just let her find her way. I am having second thoughts about the haircut. Check out her cute braids.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Peter and I spent the day with Lily yesterday and then she went to Nonnie's house for the night and we got to go out on the town. We had fun together. We don't go on enough dates. Lily spent the night with Nonnie and Papa and she woke up to eat at 3 in the morning. Lily and Nonnie snacked and then slept together on the couch. Papa took a most adorable picture which I will post as soon as he sends it to me.

This is a video of Lily playing ring around the rosie with Stuey. I caught her at the end of her game but she is saying Ashes Ashes as she walks around him and the she says fall down. Too cute!
