Lily is learning lots of lessons from her friend Aviana. It took me quite awhile to decide she was ready for the lessons that were to come. My first instinct was to shield her from the truth of what had happened to her friend. How would I explain the road that lay in front of Avi in terms my 3 year old could understand. It turns out that my fears were unfounded. I forgot to consider compassion and true friendship. Lily and Avi have a connection and a bond in which no tragedy can break. Once again I am reminded to never underestimate the power of friendship. Happy Birthday sweet Aviana!
We are so happy we got to spend time with you on your special day!

So sweet!! We're praying for her recovery!
It would be a hard decision, but she is at an age to ask lots of questions so hopefully she will have enough understanding for herself of what happend and not just wonder why she isn't seeeing her. I read about their meeting on Avianna's blog, very sweet.
This is such a precious post!!!
True friendship is hard to find BUT our girls are blessed to find it sooo young!
hugs,leslie
That is so awesome. What a wonderful experience to have such a truly blessed friend. I was so moved when I first read about it on Avianna's blog. Beautiful child you have my dear, inside and out.
Children never cease to amaze me. They are full of love, strength, and faith. We still pray for Avianna!
